Fujian Export Ceramics by Prof Li Jia’an, Fujian Museum

Language: MandarinChinese ceramics was once exported in large quantities to Southeast Asian, Japan and Europe. Fujian kilns were one of the main kilns where these export ceramics were made. What roles did these Fujian kilns play? What are the recent discoveries of Fujian export ceramics? Are you interested to know more about the kilns where these export ceramics were produced and the archaeological findings? Do you wish to learn about the basic characteristics of Chinese export ware and how to tell them apart?
NUS Museum has specially invited Prof Li Jian’an (Director of Archaeology Institute, Fujian Provincial Museum, China) to give a talk on the above topic. The talk will also feature many visual illustrations and the Museum will also select some related ceramic pieces for viewing.
