This artifact is an Axe Blade made out of bronze. It was made probably in East Java or Bali, Indonesia around the period of 600-300 BCE.
This bronze axe which has withstood the test of time, probably must have been used as a weapon during hunting or used as a tool to cut fire wood or simply for self defence.
It is awesome to think that people who lived as early as 600 to 300 BCE had the innovative spirit in them to use metals like bronze.
This artefact must then be the result of the Bronze Age when the most advanced metalworking consists of techniques for melting copper and tin , and then alloying these two metals in order to get bronze metalworks such as this Bronze Axe.
