I Can Relate to This!

Malaysian Dining in Singapore

Just about every Malaysian I know, and a growing number of Singaporeans as well, tells me that the best food hawker food can definitively be found in Malaysia. There’s certainly an al fresco element in Malaysian casual dining that you certainly can’t find in Singapore’s food courts and hawker centres - but there’s a little slice of Malaysia that you can visit - Veron shows you where.

how often do i ride the railway? almost never! only very recently did i hear of the eating area within the railway station. i wanted to go there immediately! this part of the station is not exactly visible from the main road. if someone hadn’t told me about it, i would never have known that it existed!

there are a few canteens and food courts at the railway station with mostly malaysian stalls. after all, this whole place, as well as the land it sits on, is owned by malaysia.

Read Veron’s post here. Yes, it’s a food review - but look closely and you’ll see a bit of Singapore’s culinary heritage - in the old days.
