Rewoven - It all started with a dream

It all started with a dream. Renowned fashion designer Benny Ong fell asleep on Chinese New Year eve this year, dreaming about a Buddhist Teacher holding on to his head for the longest time. When he woke up the next day, numerous design ideas, lines, shapes and colours came to him. With the divine inspiration, Benny went on to sketch out his ideas. Through the dyamnic, vibrant and uplifting colours, the fabrics came alive with the background light.

I was there at the art museum recently, and I marvelled at the works. I think it would be great for novice like myself if the curator could set up on section of the exhibition to explain the processes behind traditional weaving methods. Hey Weichong, is the gentleman next to you in the last photo the artist himself?
