The Sea View Hotel

Up until recently, the Sea View Hotel was an iconic building set at the end of Marine Parade Road, near what was once Amber Gardens. That was the second location of the hotel, the first being along the sea shore at Katong. Join Laokokok as he remembers the old Sea View Hotel(s).

I’ve only seen the ‘New’ Sea View Hotel at 26 Amber Close. Most of us are familiar with this Sea View Hotel logo at the top of the hotel building;

Surprisingly I find it more difficult to find photos of this ‘New’ Sea View hotel building than the Old Sea View hotel at Meyer Road.
