Purely Peranakan - only a month left to take part!

Dear Reader,

Here’s a gentle reminder to take part in Purely Peranakan (if you haven’t already!). With only less than a month before the contest ends, stand a chance to win attractive Peranakan-themed prizes!

A limited edition Peranakan beaded stamp or a set of beautifully illustrated children’s books could be yours!

Be a proud owner of  Humphrey the Heritage Bear - there are 10 of these furry companions up for grabs!

There will be two categories to this contest with five sets of prizes to be won in each category.

Thru’ the eyes of a child
Opened to children age 5 to 12, you’re encouraged to present anything Peranakan in the form of a painting, sculpture or a drawing! You may scan or photograph your submission – do ensure the images are of high-resolution. There is no restriction on the medium.
Prize: A set of Adeline Foo’s books: The Kitchen God and The Beaded Slippers + a special edition Humphrey the Heritage Bear

Baba writings
For everyone aged 13 and above, pen your thoughts on the Peranakan culture/adventures/recollections/memories. It may be in the form of a blog entry, an essay of even a poem! For blog entries and essays, a minimum of 300 words and relevant picture is required. Should you choose to blog on your own site, please inform us of the URL.
Prize: A limited edition beaded stamp + a special edition Humphrey the Heritage Bear
