A Singapore composition

I am proud to be a Singaporean because we are self-government and we have all four races living with us and we don’t have riots as last time when people lived in kampongs and the Chinese will fight the Malay. There was also the Maria Hertogh riots. It all started when Maria was sent by a mother to a Muslim lady called Che Aminah to be taken care of.

Later, the Che Aminah renamed Maria to Nadra and made hey a muslim, and made her marry a Muslim man. But she was only 13 years old! Her biological mother could not find her as Che Aminah had moved house. one day the court agreed to let Maria to stay with her Dutch parents. The Muslims felt that the had no respect for them and started a riot.

Singapore is also a peaceful country and everyone plays a part to protect the country. We also once had a terrorist attack but luckily the police managed to stop it. some people are kind enough to donate money to the charities and even provide service. Singapore does not let poor people be homeless.

Now we also have ASEAN. It is a group of ten countries . We protect each other from terrorist. Singapore government also gets polices to guard MRT stations Singapore also get 400 police to watch buses! I think Singapore is one of the best countries. I will always count Singapore as my homeland.
