I Can Relate to This!

I’m proud to be a Singaporean because Singapore is my homeland, this is where I belong

This is a multi-racial country. All of us here live in harmony and peace. No one owns Singapore a living.

The environment is always clean and green. Singapore has so far been self-governing, 1959 to 2009, for 50 years. Singapore is my home where all my family and friends are. No matter rain or shine, we all live in religious harmony. Here in Singapore, I met a lot of friends who were in different races such as Malays, Indians and Eurasians. They have let me learnt a lot of their cultures and the best moment I had with them was tasting their ethnic food. Even though I am a Chinese, but I still respect their culture.

Although Singapore is just a small dot on the Global Map, but we still stay strong and united. It also has a tight security. Hence, I feel secure wherever I am. Singapore has a strong and well-trained army. Like one’s say, “A group of one thousand well-trained men is able to defeat a group of thirty thousand men.”

Throughout these years, Singapore’s government is always striving to give us the best. Things like education, transportation, security, housing, etc. I felt very gratifying to have governments like them! To me, education is a must thing for everyone in this world. In school, we learn values, morals, facts that let us gain some knowledge and many more things.

With confidences, I believe that we will be able to go through all the difficulties that we face. I hope Singapore will continue to live in harmony, continue to prosper and progress to be a more busy country as success is in everyone’s hands.
