Singapore is special and everyone should be proud to be a Singaporean

Why am I proud to be a Singaporean? Because it is truly my home. This might sound cliche as anyone would say that of their country, but I really think so. I used to think “The grass is always greener on the other side”, but now, I trash that thought. I now feel that Singapore is the best place for me.

There are several reasons why I am proud to be a Singaporean. In Singapore, there are no natural disasters like earthquakes and tornadoes. There are also no racial riots, which are common in other countries. It is a country that is safe for everyone to live in. It is also amazing how four different races can live in harmony beside each other. We can celebrate festivals of different religions together. Singapore has a stable economy. Our airport is one of the best airports in the world. More and more foreigners are coming to live in Singapore. We even have our very own language: Singlish! Wa piang eh!

Singapore is special and everyone should be proud to be a Singaporean. Onward Singapore!
