For the first time, the Singapore story of the common carrier bag will walk visitors back to the 1950s, when paper bags were first made locally. The exhibition showcases over 60 paper and plastic bags from the National Museum’s collection, depicting their varied functions as carriers, household items and advertisement mediums.
