It has been quite a while since my last post and I see many responses to my Goldkist Beach Resort post.
Here is my drawing for this year’s festive season, it has some familar items that you have seen this year. Hope you enjoy it. You might spot a few characters such as the Salahis.
I still have a while more to go before my ORD. I think at end of the day, NS is something you would love and hate. I definitely learnt something out of it.
Here are some sketches I did during my time as a recruit.
The National Service Monument any parent or recruit will get to see when they enter Pulau Tekong.
Another building than any recruit or parent who visited Pulau Tekong would recognize. I drew this when I got Light Duties and recruits with status like me would be excused from training and we just have to sit one side and observe. Lucky I got my sketchbook.
My bunk. It has changed. The new bunks have double-decker beds instead of these single level ones.
After POP, we were posted out and from there we get to handle new weapons and see new lands. So, despite the rigidness of army and the “siong”ness, that are some things I learn to appreciate in NS.
