One of Singapore’s most unique museums features a tooth for its showcase - and we’re not talking about a museum of dentistry! The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum in Chinatown offers a unique chance to learn about Buddhism and visit some relics sacred to the religion.

The student group blog Refined Singapore posts a detailed description (with videos) of the Temple-Museum, as well as tips for visitors:
After visiting BTRTM, which is a temple cum museum, we have all learned more about Buddhism. Especially through the exhibitions on Level 3 and Level 4 as they have educated us on the profound knowledge of Buddhism. This museum provides a short summary of the origins of Buddhism and also the future developments of it. Not only that, we also did some praying around the temple for some blessings for ourselves, and for our family for the upcoming year and all.
For visitors who are interested in Buddhism and wish to gain greater insights of Dharma’s teachings, Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum will be a good choice for you! BTRTM also provides wheelchairs and chair-lifts for those who need them.
However, as a gentle reminder, please do not wear revealing clothes that does not cover your shoulders and knees as this will be deemed as disrespectful to the monks and the religion. If not, be prepared to be asked to wrap yourself with the shawl and cloths provided at the entrance!
