I was told not too long ago by some people on Clubsnap that Punggol End, where all the beautiful lalang fields are, is no longer accessible to outsiders. This pretty much means that in about five years’ time. The beautiful lalang fields will be completely gone and transform into some sort of bustling water town.
I did not grow up in Punggol but I do have some vague childhood memories of myself playing there. It was not until early last year in 2009 that i returned there to help a friend with his photoshoot.
Not wanting memories of this place to be erased by images of a bustling water town, I spent quite a bit of time last year frequenting this place and take as many photographs as possible. All of them are shot with film as far as i can remember.

One of these few days when i have free time, i shall go back and check out the place again. Been too busy to go back and check out the progress of construction there. I think the concrete tracks in the photo (3rd last) are laid and completed already. Sheesh.
Images taken with:
- Salyut-C and 65mm f/2.8
- Mamiya 645 AFD and 80mm f/2.8
- Nikon F2 Photomic and Nippon Kogakku 50mm f/2

The lalang field is partially there. Bulk of it has been destroyed though.
