To me, the most important moment in Singapore’s history is no particular day. In my opinion, I feel that EVERYDAY marks a significant part in Singapore’s history. Why?

I believe that each day, there are at least 1 baby born in Singapore. The moment the baby is born, he or she is considered an important part in Singapore’s history. No one knows the future of this baby, whether he or she will become the president or prime minister of Singapore, or a celebrity like Fann Wong or Stefanie Sun. This baby may have the ability to change Singapore’s history.Everyone can marry another person, and give birth to childrens, and the children marry and have their own children, and the cycle goes on and on. Everytime a new baby is born, this child have the ability to affect Singapore’s population, or even Singapore’s survival in a serious case. If there is no one in Singapore, there will be no Singapore. To me, Singapore is not made up of grasslands, beautiful environment or high technology. We, the people are the ones who really make up Singapore.

I believe that I have the ability to change Singapore if I want, as long as I try. Therefore, everytime a baby is born in Singapore, it is the time when a new rays of hope arrive.
