I am proud to be a Singaporean and living in Singapore. There are many Singaporeans overseas, where they miss Singapore. Singapore is a garden city. From Sang Nila Utama, we got our name. From Sir Stamford Raffles, we got our city. Now, we are building a nation that is strong from the start till the end. We have freedom, justice and equality, Singapore a young nation progressing enormously. We have peace and prosperity. We have democracy.

Singapore is a humongous city even though we are just a small dot in the world map. Here in Singapore, we have loads of fun. It’s a country which places great importance on education. We have a multi-racial culture, Chinese, Indian, Malay and many more. We respect each other’s language and religion. Friendship and loyalty is important to us. We care and share all the time. Wherever we go, we recall the city. We know where to get back when we have problems. We have strong and confident people. We are responsible for our actions. Whatever we do, we do it as a nation. As one Singapore, we say the pledge and let our voices be heard from far. This is home, this is where we belong. We know that we are a big family.
