I’m proud to be a Singaporean because… This is our country. Even if I change my name, home address or migrate to another country, Singapore will always be my country. I was born here and no one can change that.

Singapore has everything to be proud of. Our history doesn’t go back as far as many other countries, but it is filled with rich culture, nevertheless. The variety of food, racial harmony, high standard education system, why even the famous likes of ‘Kiasuism’ that makes our citizens stand out wherever they are; all this makes Singapore. And if I’m not proud of this, what else can I be proud of then?

Rising from mere dust we have come up to be globally recognized, honouring then Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew’s tears of promise for a better nation. And indeed, we are making our way to becoming the best. For a country that is just a red dot on the map, we have made our name in the world. And we will continue to do thus.

Being part of Singapore is indefinite and an honourable thing for me. The one and only, uniquely Singapore. I am proud to be a Singaporean.
