I’m proud to be a Singaporean because….This is our homeland. Singapore firstly gives me a sense of security and is definitely a place where i know that I am free to express myself.

We may be a small country but Singapore is certainly a country which has proven many wrong, I am very proud to see the improvement that Singapore has made in these many years. When we first started out, we only had negative comments from discouraging nations telling us how we can never improve. Now we stand tall in front of them, showing them what we are capable of. To me Singapore has shown to be very independent nation.

This moment, I would like to thank the leaders of our nation, who have brought us up to a level, where we are envied by other nations for our great development and our strong unity. The effort that our leaders put into developing the country is something we should never forget. I am proud every time I see people of different races mingling together, putting all their differences aside to work together as one. I am proud to say that I am from a united nation, called SINGAPORE. This is my nation!
