I’m proud to be a Singaporean!! I’ve not been to faraway countries, but I clearly know Singapore is the best country–the only county I wanted to be in. To share the happy moments to my family, my friends, and to other Singaporeans. Because Singapore is my country, my home. Never will I abandon Singapore, as I grew up here, this is my home, my families’, my peoples’, my future childrens”, everyone’s. Singapore is a blessing in disguise, from a little red dot, to a developed nation.

As I grew older, I realize that most Asians tend to be more prone to “abandon” their country. And, instead of feeling “home” when they return, they feel ashamed of their own people, their own country. But I wouldn’t feel that way–Singapore have EVERYTHING one could wish for, why should I? Whenever I go to other countries, locals there tend to ask: What country are you from? I will answer proudly – Singapore! Then they will nod approvingly, Ahh, Singapore, wonderful country. Even other people think Singapore is wonderful. What reason do we, Singaporeans, have to not to be proud of our country?
