Traditional Malay Music covers various genres including Asli, Zapin, Inang, Dondang Sayang and Joget. These genres are performed with the gambus, violin, and accordion and in modern times with guitars and bass.

Join the Malay Heritage Centre along the streets of Kampung Gelam and explore the various melodies and beats of these genres, and discover the different influences from the region that have made Traditional Malay Music a unique cultural icon in Singapore.
