Remember back in the day (no matter what age you are), when movie tickets were cheaper? How cheap – and thus how far back – can you remember? I remember my dad bringing me to watch Return of the Jedi for something like $3.50 a ticket. Ah, $3.50 tickets… those were my good old days… and then laokokok shattered my personal record:

In ‘From Kachang to Popcorn’, laokokok takes us on a photographic journey of the old cinema theatres in Singapore, buildings dedicated to the screening of movies before cineplexes-cum-malls were more commonplace.
