Yes folks, it’s time to play name that place, the Times of My Life edition.
This is a very old photo taken by my father who used to love photography in his younger days. This place should be near Merdeka Bridge, Guillemard Road or the old un-named road now called Stadium Boulevard; not sure at all? Anyone knows?

Dear great-great-great-grandchildren,
Today, I have this urge to write to all of you about my excursions to the Bukit Timah Railway Station and various parts along the KTM railway tracks on 4 Jun 2011. I do not know if you would ever experience these places like I did?
We hear ever so often about the loss of the community spirit when people moved from kampongs into HDB flats, which greatly diminished the space for social interactions. The place is called Kallang Park, re-named as Kallang Boulevard. The road shown is actually the runaway of Kallang Airport. The fountain in the picture served as a traffic round-about. There is a road on the right hand side (cannot be seen in the picture) called Jalan Benaan Kapal which leads to a number of shipyards. At the far end on the right hand side is the place where the National Stadium now stand.
