This picture of a military parade was taken in a civilian compound in 1977. Can you guess where it is? Chun See has the answers.

The other day, I went down to take some photos of this place. It was quite run down and looked deserted. I told the care taker that I wanted to take some photos before the government tears it down. He thought I was an ex-footballer. He told me not so soon, at least another few years.

Wrong. It’s Jurong Stadium located between Fourth Chin Bee Road and Corporation Road in Taman Jurong.

In 1977 when this photo was taken, I think don’t have such a place called Jurong East yet.
