Sometimes, the best archives are in the dusty shoebox of memories. Building Singapore is a photoset featuring pictures from Singapore from the 1930s all the way to the 1970s – from the pre-colonial period right through to independence. Thanks to acroamatic for this link.

Fantastic! As without the foresight of some creative people, the history in Singapore will be lost for ever. The much contested constant renewal of buildings and vehicles is such a concern that the memories must be continually contained as the program of rebuilding after a set amount of years continues on this gorgeous Island.
