SINGAPORE – SATURDAY MARCH 28 2009 ::: Do you know, Singapore’s Inter-Religious Organisation is 60 years old this year? That makes it one of the oldest, if not the oldest such organisation in the world! Learn about Singapore’s religious heritage in Singapore Heritage: Places of Worship by Dr. Tan Wee Kiat. Starting next Monday, Dr Tan’s blog ReTRIeVIA begins online syndication of the book, featuring a page from the book every Monday to Thursday for eight weeks.

Dr Tan uses stamps (mostly Singapore stamps, but also from our neighbours and the world) to thematically talk about Singapore’s history and heritage. The books have a very limited print run, and most of the books are given away free to schools, so besides ReTRIeVIA where he posts pages from his books, the only other place you can read his books if from your local library.

Learn about Singapore’s Places of Worship and history through stamps in ReTRIeVIA.
