We all would have heard of Clifford Pier, but what about North Pier, South Pier and Finger Pier? I guess only our older readers would know of these places or at least find their names familiar. It’s no surprise that Singapore had many piers, given our heritage as a maritime trading post and these piers would be where bumboats docked to ferry goods and passengers from dry land to bigger ships anchored off shore.
