The New Seven Wonders (of Singapore)

Posted by noelbynature

Inspired by last month’s New Seven Wonders poll, which sought to name a new set of seven wonders of the world, Chun See of
Good Morning Yesterday posts his take of the Seven Wonders, Singapore Style. Which buildings made it to his list?

My choice is based on ‘nostalgia’ value and I only chose those man-made structures which are no longer in existence. In this regard, the National Stadium only just made it because it is being demolished.

Read what buildings and structures made his Singapore Seven Wonders List!

  1. Wonder of Wonders Said,

These are my seven Wonders of Sin-gap-ore:

    1. I wonder why LKY still holds on to power when he had officially handed over the throne to his own son?

    2. I wonder why Ministers must be made Multi-Millionaires in order to ensure that they have true integrity and are non-corruptible?

    3. I wonder why the PAP still does not understand that no empires can withstand the test of time?

    4. I wonder why Sin-gap-oreans continue to be so “kiasu” and so “kiasi”?

    5. I wonder why our President seems to be an irrelevant entity in my mind?

    6. I wonder why the rich is getting richer and the poor is getting poorer in the outstanding Sin-gap-ore?

    7. I wonder why I am wondering what I am wondering?

Have you wonder why you are wondering?

  2. Jocelyn Said,

Oh Singapore. It just does not understand the significance of the beauty beheld in old buildings. I am surprised anyone over 50 is permitted to remain in this too prim and proper Island.

  3. best jayz Said,

Many say you shouldn’t give away your work for free if you wish to sell it. Nonsense. Seth’s got a big idea here. This entire book of riffs already exists for free. Yet I’ll bet he proves his point when “Small” becomes another bestseller.
