“姚紫—文学历程”展览以介绍新加坡文艺先驱作家姚紫先生的著作及其对新华文学的贡献为主轴，藉以鼓励年轻国人积极参与文学活动与创作。姚紫是新加坡早期优秀的小说家、散文家兼文艺期刊、报章副刊编辑。他的作品广受本地及国外文学界好评。姚紫对提携后进不遗余力，生前设立姚紫文艺基金，资助出版，为新华文学倾毕生心血，遗世至今三十载，依然深受爱戴与敬仰。展览将展出姚紫未发表过的手稿、与文友的信件和他自己的私人物件如皮包、日记与照片等等。这个展览由新加坡国家图书馆和新加坡文艺协会联合主办。

The exhibition, “Yao Zi – His Literary Journey” takes you on a journey through the life and deeds of Singapore’s literary pioneer, Yao Zi. Yao Zi, an outstanding novelist, essayist and editor in early Singapore produced several critical acclaim Chinese literary works. He left a generous legacy, aspiring writers during and after his lifetime.
