The first part consisted of an introduction to Chinatown Heritage Centre. Though this wasn’t my first visit there, I’ve never failed to be impressed at the presentation of the gallery, which gives you a good idea of the dwellings of the early immigrants. The cramp, gritty and dimly lighted quarters are personal favourites of mine.
