Jolly good fun was had by one and all at today’s Open House at Singapore Philatelic Museum.

Visitors started streaming in as soon as the museum opened.

Toy sellers who were bearing good bargains were concurrently setting up shop.

Programmes for the kids started bright and early, with a fun variety of art and costume activities.

Balloon artists were on hand to give out free balloon sculpts that resembled cartoon and comic characters.

And the roving magician was a hit with the kids.

Everyone got to explore all the galleries.

Visitors were given a free comic goodie bag, thanks to the kind people at G&B Comics

Business at the Car Boot Sale was really bustling.

It got really crowded in the afternoon…

…with many wanting to catch their last glimpse of Iron Man CollARTible Exhibition that was ending today.

Cosplayers certainly brightened up the proceedings…

…and lots of people wanted to get photos with the members of the 501st Legion.

I thoroughly enjoyed today’s event because of the good variety of programmes for families and youths. It’s a pity if you weren’t able to join us today, but if you’re interested in pop-culture and toys, you’d want to set your sights on Invasion! at Singapore Art Museum, another Explore Singapore! 2010 event that’s happening on Sunday, 5 December 2010 at The Plaza, SAM @ 8Q.

‘It’s Like Magic!’ is a programme of Explore Singapore! 2010. Do visit Explore Singapore! 2010′s website for more awesome events!
