Explore Singapore! is well-underway and if you’re wondering just what to do over the next week or so, here are some suggestions for both the young and old!

Can’t think of what to do to keep your young ‘uns occupied? Then head down to the National Library Boad at Victoria Street on 17 November and Celebrate the Asian Children’s Festival at KidsASIA! Expect a host of exciting music and dance performances by kids for kids. There’ll also be a huge playground with many fun-filled activities for the little ones.

This year, Explore Singapore! has also catered a series of very special promotions and events just for those in their golden years. Seniors can look forward to a guided tour of the stunning National Museum (in both English and Mandarin!), completely free-of-charge on 18 Nov, 24, 23 and 25 November. All they have to do is sign up by calling 6332 9023/6332 4503.

Can’t get enough of Singapore’s oldest museum? Then sign grandpa and grandma up for History Comes Alive! This special dramatised tour on 18 November will incorporate street theatre and war time folk songs, and make the historical period of pre-World War II to the post-war years come alive.

For the first time also, seniors will have FREE ENTRY to all NHB museums from 19-25 November! Up for grabs is a limited edition Explore Singapore! tote bag when they visit NHB museums. Other freebies and promos include free entry into the Museum of Shanghai Toys at Rowell Road, Singapore Science Centre, The Battle Box (with every paying adult), and 1-for-1 free entry to Fort Siloso on Sentosa!
