Having seen the changes in toys and things kids are playing these days, I’m always delighted when I spot toys that are from my time (and earlier). These toys are hardly found in toy shops already.

The Alphabet Transformers
Have you played with the Alphabet Transformers before?
These alphabets are not just useful educational toys where kids can use them to learn spelling, but they’re great for those who want a little action too! These learning toys can be transformed with a few twists and turns into small robot figures that’s great fun for kids. Imagination is all they need to get started!

Let’s fight!
There’s also the blower where you try to keep a small ball afloat. Remember that one? When you’re lucky, you’ll be able to find one of those in boxes of Tora chocolate snack boxes! Here’s a photo of this ball blower to help you recall those memories…

Can you recall blowing into one of those?
And there’s finally (for this post) the falling man!

When I was (a lot) younger, I liked to pick up the fallen man and watch it tumble down the ladder over and over again. Ohh! I can surely recall the little thrills when I watched the small man making those turns down the plastic ladder again!

To help those of you who’ve not seen this tumbling man behind, here’s a short clip I recorded with my tumbling man.
Do you have any of these retro toys too? I would love to hear from you! I’m going to carry on my hunt for the mosaic playgrounds and retro toys!

cool post claudia, iirc, the alphabet transformers came packed as a free gift, most likely with cereals or something.

I have looked everywhere to buy the Alphabet Transformer Toys for my son, who is having trouble learning his letters. We actually found a ‘K’ once in a Doctor’s office and that is the only one I have. Does anyone know if I can buy them somewhere?
