The Drop Handkerchief game

Posted by noelbynature

A handkerchief, one of the words I had trouble spelling when I was in primary school, is a square (usually) piece of cloth that men used to keep in their pockets as a personal wiper – sweat, snot, etc. We don’t see them nowadays since packets of tissue paper have become quite popular – and besides, they’re real handy for chope-ing seats at the food court. Some of us would remember playing a party game involving handkerchiefs when we were younger.

another childhood game that provided us with immense fun was played using a piece of cloth or a large handkerchief. this game usually involved a big group of children, say, at least ten children. i have seen some teachers – obviously, not trained in physical education – letting their pupils play this game during their physical education lessons. outside of the school, i have not seen young children playing this game for a long, long time.

Read all about it in ygblog.
