Hey everyone! I’m Anna from Wonderwool! It’s a real honour to be contributing to Yesterday.sg, thank you for this opportunity. I’ve been racking my brains on what to write, I’m not very eloquent when it comes to topic writing.
I own Wonderwool, a shop that had been repeatedly described as “cosy, pretty and quaint ” at 16A Haji Lane. A main reason I chose Haji Lane is because I am a fan of history and nothing gets more personal that relics that are carelessly left from the carcasses of yesteryear.
I’m not sure how familiar all of you are with Haji Lane but it’s an amazing stretch with niche boutiques. Of late, with the prevalance of blogshops, some of them had also set up a brick and mortar shop along the stretch. Walk further in and you will be greeted by the Kampong Glam neighborhood which is the Malay precinct of Singapore. There, you can find rows and rows of shophouses that sells Indonesian Batiks, carpets and restaurants that offers Egyptian food or shisha.

Back to Haji Lane and fashion, it is one of the best places to get your fix of vintage dresses. Vintage dresses are very popular recently and while most people label clothes as vintage, true blue vintage lovers know that in Haji Lane, there are shops that specialize in authentic vintage items.
Here are some of the vintage looks I’ve recreated from the Wonderwool store! Hope all of you enjoyed this post and look out for my next entry! xx
