I’d like to think of myself as a pop-culture archivist. Simply cos I collect things that appeal to me, take a few photos, talk a bit and store them at my personal online archive.

The stuff I collect ranges from memorabilia from my favourite band, football shirts, as well as toys from movies, comics, cartoons and TV shows. I’ll be talking about the latter two topics in my posts on IMPRINTS, as the former subject matter needs intense face-to-face discussion with fellow Beatlemaniacs to be truely savoured and enjoyed.

In my day job, I work for the biggest collector in Singapore. I’m with an organisation that encourages their people to explore their passion, and the previous fruits of my labour include Comic & Superheroes and to some extent, Football Fever!, both at Singapore Philatelic Museum. The latest result of my collaboration with the museum is Iron Man CollARTible Exhibition, which kicks off on 9 Oct 2010, and is a show not to be missed.

It’s really cool when work and interests can converge, and I’m fortunate and thankful to have experienced this.
