One way to update your closet with the latest trends and fashion is by taking a quick trip in different countries and style watching people. And now, you can do this in a brevity of time, without spending thousands for airfare, and without suffering from the jet lag syndrome.

All you need is an access in the internet, and you are ready to depart in a style trip, with an extra delight of smorgasbord of runway shows, reviews and trends, models and campaigns, etc., via fashion blogs.

Fashion blogs include sites that review and report latest trends, feature fashion week and runway shows, spot people with style, write articles about designers and their creations, post entries about fashion photography and styling, talk about recent campaigns and who models for it, etc.

One of the most visited fashion blogs in the cyber world is owned by Scott Schumaan, “The Sartorialist”. Famous for style-spotting from different parts of the world, mostly Paris, Milan, New York and Europe, the blog is selected as one of Time Magazine’s Top 100 Design Influencers. His first blog post is on September 27, 2005.

In Japan, there is Style-Arena which tours you to outstanding, eccentric yet beautiful street fashion in five major districts in Tokyo; Harajuku, Shibuya, Omotesando, Daikanyama and Ginza. StreetPeeper peeps major cities in the world; Amsterdam, Berlin, Miami, Sydney, etc.

And a phenomenon in street fashion blogging is Tommy Ton of Jak and Jil who even scored a campaign for Lane Crawford, a luxury retailer store in Asia.

Perhaps, with the mixture of cultures, street fashion and style in Singapore can be describe as a combination of Japan and Europe influences. And with the humid season, dressing up can be a challenge. But with fashion concious Singaporeans, street fashion and street style is vibrant.

Style addiction, if there is such a thing, doesn’t require someone to be spotted and to be featured in a street fashion blog. Sites, such as Lookbook , Ilikemystyle, chictopia, etc. offer members to have their very own photo, in their stylish clothes and looks, posted in the cyber world. Members also get to rate other style photos, as well as get inspiration from each other.

Fashion blogs have been major sources of information and inspiration among fashion people: from fashion writers, designers, make-up artists, photographers, stylists and even to ordinary style persons. The above-mentioned blogs have already gained reputation in the fashion blogging community. New fashion blogs have started their own blog, each offering something new to readers, and still more will come.

As long as technology drives the future, fashion blogs will always be in the cyber world. And for sure, fashion pack will always be boarding a style trip anywhere, in just a tick of a clock, via fashion blogs.
