Back before the days of Flickr and Picasa, there was only one reliable way to share your photographs: Mount them on a photo album and invite your friends to come look at it.
These days, we treat digital images very casually – they are probably usually stored in a folder inside your computer and organised by date. In contrast, physical photographs were kept in albums, and note just stored either, they were mounted with the intention to display them at some later date. The picture shows one way photographs were mounted:
The next generation of photo albums as far as I can recall had a sticky surface onto which you placed your photos. It is overlaid by a large clear plastic sheet. I regret using this type of album because after some years my photos got stuck to the pages. Any suggestions for removing them without damaging my precious old photos?
In his post, Chun See shows us three ways photographs were mounted onto an album. Do you have any albums mounted in all three ways?
