“All the glittery diamonds and gold! Most pieces in the exhibition are at least 40years old but shine and shimmer like its brand new. Absolutely gorgeous. There’s over 1300 pieces on display, ranging from necklaces to crowns and even a sword. After seeing so many diamonds all around, the trinity ring colection looks boring without any diamonds. But I still love the simplicity of the 3 bands of different coloured gold engraved with the word ‘Cartier’. Ooh.”
” The Art of Cartier exhibition was quite interesting. Unfortunately I do not have the pictures to show as photography is not allowed. A guide is available to walk you through each exhibit and introduce you to the history of Cartier and how each era’s designs were influenced by persons and cultures.
Not only fashionable, the innovations in the Mystery Clock were my favourites.
It’s free.
So if you like to know more about the work of Cartier, go for it!”
The Art of Cartier is held at the National Museum of Singapore and will run till 17 October 2006. For more details, check out National Museum of Singapore’s website.
