Following a slideshow presentation from his latest completed work, The Children of the Lotus, a Journey among Buddhists, Magnum photographer Abbas will share his personal reflections on his three-year journey among 12 predominantly Buddhist countries.

Haunted by a photo he saw in 2007 of a little girl, an “Unidentified Prisoner” who was about to join others to be massacred in the notorious Tuol Sleng prison under the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, Abbas raises questions about the acceptance of such brutality against human life in a presumably compassionate society.
