We were at Play@ACM, the final event of 11 days of celebrations in conjunction with International Museum Day 2006.
The activities lined up at Asian Civilisations Museum, Empress Place, for lack of a better word, umm, ROCKED!
Ancient Games Challenge
We were told off by an organiser (it’s ok, she’s a friend, so we’ll let it slide. This once.) when we asked her casually before the event whether there was going to be jousting or gauntlet running as part of this challenge.
We found out that the games include:
We had the most fun watching Kabaddi cos…
Everybody was silat fighting!
Their moves were fast as lightning!
It was a little bit frightening…
Those guys had expert timing!
Floating like a butterfly…
Stung like a bee!
Do the huddle!
It’s marvellous what Milo can do for you! (We paid for our over-indulgence later.)
We ended our day by catching a screening of Singapore short films.
We especially enjoyed Eng Yee Peng’s effort. Titled Dimishing Memories, its a heartfelt narrative on leaving kampung life behind.

That MILO van brings back a lot of school-time memories. I wonder when the good folks at Nestle came up with this service. 10 years ago? Earlier?
And why is it that the Milo you make at home is never as chocolate-y as the Milo van’s Milo?
