What do vintage cars have to do with Singapore’s history?

Find out this Sunday as a motorcade of vintage Ford stunners will make their way to the Memories at Old Ford Factory, for Motoring Heritage Day!
It will be homecoming for some of the cars, including the last car to be assembled locally at the former Ford Motor Company in 1979 and a 1941 Ford convertible that is returning home after 70 years!
Motoring Heritage Day is a collaboration for the second consecutive year between the National Heritage Board (NHB) and Malaysia and Singapore Vintage Car Register (MSVCR).

Find out the interesting stories behind the cars from their owners themselves such as the intriguing chequered past of the 1941 Ford convertible which was never delivered to its owner due to the outbreak of World War II!
Visitors will also enjoy free guided tours and screenings of historical film footage linking to the old Ford Motor Factory and World War II.

The 1941 and 1979 Ford cars will continue to be on display till 9 August 2011, which coincides with the National Day Open House for all NHB museums.
