Same old, different old

Posted by noelbynature

Manchu Mania isn’t the only reason to visit the Asian Civilisations Museum – the museum’s always so full of artefacts from different cultures that there’s always something new to see every time you visit it. Like this Ampang Bilik from a traditional Torajan House.

If the name is unfamiliar, the Toraja are natives of South Sulawesi, in Indonesia. Butterflygalz spends some time in the ACM as an ‘internal tourist’ in Singapore – and gives as a brief rundown of the different galleries at the museum. Get transported to the highlands of Thailand, the archipelago islands or the western lands of India, all in one building!
