Stamp of Approval

Posted by shaun wong

Though I’d previously heard how popular Singapore Philatelic Museum‘s open house days are, I’d never have guessed the extent.

I guess its fair to say quite a number of people got wind of SPM’s official opening and its revamped galleries.

The kids sure looked like they were having fun with the interactive panels.

Especially this little drummer boy.

The most popular section of the revamped galleries has got to be the ‘Be a Stamp’ photo op.

In the five minutes I spent in this gallery, as many as five families kept snapping away. Repeatedly and in different variations.

As previously speculated by angela, the Sea Mammals exhibit was indeed a hit with the kids.

Did you Have Fun Shading?

They certainly did…

My favourite exhibit was this, titled “Collecting as a Hobby”. No surprises there.

Visiting SPM was a nice way close to this weekend’s IMD 06 celebrations for me.

If you’ve missed this weekend’s activities, fret not.

Next weekend, you can look forward to Partying at SAM and Playing at ACM.
