The Manila Bulletin carried an article on our very own Singapore Philatelic Museum today!

WHO would think that a small piece of decorated paper, sometimes measuring smaller than a square inch, can say so much about a particular place?

But that’s exactly what stamps can do. Grouped comprehensively, stamps can tell a country’s history — reflecting its natural resources, leading personalities and key events, as well as denoting the prevailing moods and trends of the periods in which they were produced.

At the Singapore Philatelic Museum (SPM), various facets of the island state are handily fleshed out using its main assets — stamps, postcards, letters and other philatelic materials.

  1. Tan Wee Kiat Said,

    Hi! Noel,
With such a wonderful write-up like that in Manila Bulletin Online, I think the SPM will be swamped by eager Filipino visitors in the near future!

There is a small typo error in the name
    >Singapore Philetelic Museum (SPM)<,[should be 'philatelic']
but the link to SPM still works.
