nhbuzzThe June holidays are just around the corner and if you are fretting about how to keep your kids entertained, don’t miss the latest issue of NHBuzz (May to Jul)! This issue kicks off with International Museum Day 2009 (23 May to 31 May) and this year, it’s all about Family Fun At Home!. Whether it’s lantern making and martial arts at the Asian Civilisations Museum’s Chinese Cultural Open House (30 and 31 May), or a book binding workshop at the NUS Museum (31 May), we promise to engage, educate and entertain.

More fun awaits at the National Museum of Singapore’s Children’s Season 2009. Back for the second year, Children’s Season 2009 promises a family carnival of craft workshops, movie screenings and performances.

July presents the ever popular Singapore HeritageFest 2009. This year’s festival revolves around the theme Who’s Your Neighbour?. From heartland exhibitions to heritage tours, culinary events to concerts, the festival’s many activities will appeal to both the young and old.

And of course there’s always the many exciting exhibitions happening at NHB’s museums. Baba Bling: Peranakan Family Jewels kicks off at the Peranakan Museum and promises to dazzle with its collection of Peranakan heirlooms. A fan of Danish designer Verner Panton’s quirky furniture? NHBuzz introduces you to his collection of works at the National Museum.

Pick up the latest copy of NHBuzz at your nearest community library or at any of NHB’s museums. Read the PDF version here.
