Every family has stories to tell, share yours with the National Museum of Singapore! Log on to www.singaporealbum.sg and share your family history!

Jointly organised by the National Museum of Singapore, Landmark Books Pte Ltd and strongly supported by NEXUS, the Families & Friends: A Singapore Album project aims to collect a database of community photographs and memorabilia to highlight the things that make us Singaporean.

Old and new, formal and informal, posed and candid images of people at work or play, we hope that Singaporeans from all walks of life will contribute their photographs and personal stories behind these photographs.

Storage and preservation of the material collected and related data will be kept in searchable digital files. The pictures collected during this drive will become part of a database of Singaporeans’ collective memories and will be incorporated into the Photography gallery, one of the Singapore Living galleries at the National Museum of Singapore, and made available for public viewing.

This project will culminate in the Families & Friends: A Singapore Album exhibition, which will be held at the National Museum of Singapore from 16 February to 11 March 2007.
