2009′s International Museum Day celebrations in Singapore are here again, beginning this weekend, 23rd May till 31st May.
It presents every excuse to go museum hoppin’ with your family, loved ones and friends, an avenue to unleash the creative energy of your young ones, and catch world-famous exhibitions free, or discounted!
Of course, with the many workshops, installations, activities all listed on the IMD website, there is plenty to do the next two weeks around Singapore. Not just the ones you see in the CBD area (eg. National Museum, Asian Civilisations Museum, Singapore Art Museum etc) mind you - I’m planning my museum trippin’ to include Science Centre Singapore, Mint Museum of Toys and even the Malay Heritage Centre (heard there’s some really good food ’round the corner too).
There’s even more for children. A kids-for-kids video below gives a very brief idea of what children can expect (and MORE) starting tomorrow.
