With the impending redevelopment of Bukit Brown, blogger Kirsten and her family visits the cemetery with her family and discovers that she has relatives buried there.
Kirsten writes:
Last Sunday my mother, grandfather, cousin and I paid a visit to Bukit Brown, which has been gazetted for development by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). I had never been there before, and had never given it much thought, but after the gazetting I figured that it would be good to pay a visit, preferably with someone who had relatives buried there.
Not knowing where to start, I called my grandfather, on the off-chance that he knew someone. And that was when I found out that my own great-grandparents are buried in Bukit Brown.
