On this day 63 years ago, Fortress Singapore fell to Japanese forces led by General Tomoyuki Yamashita. The Japanese occupied Singapore until 1945.

It was not a fall but they recovered a lot and now they are stable.

Thank you for this! I already read this in the National Archives, but I also didn`t know that it was in fall.
