We continued on our Singapore HeritageFest 2011 adventure and visited one of the satelite hubs located at Bedok.
This exhibition called Delicious Heritage @ Bedok Point revolves around Singapore street food, then and now. In our opinion, it’s quite apt that this exhibition is situated in the east, where most of the delectable delicacies of Singapore can be found.
The different modes of transportation to transport food all around Singapore.
You will be able to find the nation’s beloved food places here too…
The things they used to create some noise to indicate that they are in business…
Wrappings of the past and present…
These ladies really miss the ice balls!
If you are a true-blue foodie, make your way down to Bedok Point, especially during this weekend where you can meet roving characters such as the tok-tok mee, kacang puteh seller, satay man and ice-cream uncle.
SINGAPORE HERITAGEFEST 2011
15 – 31 July
Every year, the Singapore HeritageFest (SHF) brings both young and old together to celebrate our city’s charms, multicultural community and rich history.
This year, in our eighth Festival and the largest one yet, we transform the island into a feast of music, dance, art, food and numerous interactive experiences, in tribute to all that we love about our home, Singapore.
SHF 2011‘s theme, Home – What We Love About It!, welcomes you to rethink what it means to call this city home. In an exciting three-week exploration, rediscover the city’s local cultures and practices, travel back to times past and present, and experience fully our living heritage.

H Chun See, the satellite hubs at Sengkang, Bedok and Northpoint have closed. This week’s hubs are at Jurong Point, Parkway Parade and Tiong Bahru Plaza (http://heritagefest.sg/en/content.aspx?sid=27) with the closing event at Novena Square (http://heritagefest.sg/en/content.aspx?sid=28). Hope the info helps.
