Did anyone catch the Thaipusam celebrations this morning? Today (more accurately, since yesterday) Hindu devotees in Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore have gathered to celebrate Thaipusam, a feast dedicated to the Hindu god Murugan. It is a colourful sight, and most observers will probably remember it for the massive kavadis that devotees carry.
